Malia

I've had intentions of collecting this under-appreciated Honolulu label, which was at its best in the 1970s. Besides the obviously great textiles, the dresses in particular often have dramatic, unusual design features that set them apart from most resortwear of the same period.

All via eBay and etsy. Malia skirts and dresses are widely available, sometimes for as little as $20. So hold out for one you really like.

That first one--WOW! Great choices, Maija.

I have minor regrets about selling every single one I've ever had. (I believe it's now 6 total.) I can't seem to keep them around here for very long. The prints are dynamite. Talk about a great sundress...do you know anything about the company? I'd be curious to know who was doing all the novelty/themed prints they had, particularly some of the figural things because they're awesome.

Hi Holly - I wish I had a closet fulla these! I'm doing a little research on the company now. I should have a little bit more information for a post next week.

Looking forward to seeing what you unearth. Sent you another one yesterday...cute!

I think I just want one or two. I've only found one that was in my size range, never tried it on, sold it and often regret that. This would be a stunning collection to start. Do it!
